After receiving complaints from neighbors, Pasco deputies say they found almost 50 cats and a dog locked inside the storage area and the cab of a U-haul truck at a home, on Dixie Garden Loop.

Deputies say the animals were caged and had no food, water, or air conditioning.

After finding the disturbing case of animal cruelty on Saturday, deputies arrested Karen Tuttle-Kunnmann, of Holiday on 47 counts of animal cruelty. She was being held on a $5,000 bond per count.

Deputies also assisted in unloading the cats from the truck and said the cats were located under furniture and were also in cages stacked to the roof of the U-Haul.

The animals are now with animal control, according to deputies.
