Cherokee County deputies look for 2 accused in burglary, using stolen credit cards
CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - Cherokee County deputies need the public's help finding two men accused of burglarizing a house, attempting to burglarize another and buying items with stolen credit cards.
Lt. Jay Baker told FOX 5 News that the pair stole a purse from one house on Ellenwood Drive on April 23 before trying to hit others on the same street. They managed to break a window at one house but didn't get inside, according to Baker.
"They went to some other homes on Ellenwood Drive and knocked on doors," Baker said. "If a resident came to the door, they acted like they were looking for someone and had the wrong place. Then, they went on to the next house."
Baker said, later that day, the two spent thousands of dollars with stolen credit cards at several businesses in Woodstock and Hickory Flat. Investigators believe the two are driving a red or burgundy truck.
