ATLANTA - It was supposed to be a safe time of day, late Sunday afternoon, and she was supposed to be in a safe neighborhood.
A carjack victim recounts what happened to her while driving through Ansley Park located near Piedmont Park.
A motorist struck her rear bumper, she got out to speak to the driver, and check information. That other driver was just a kid.
She said it only took seconds for others in that vehicle to run out and get into her brand new 2016 and drive away.
The motorist was stunned, began screaming and collapsed to the ground. One of the young people had a gun, she would be told later by neighbors who quickly came to assist her.
There is a silver lining. Her vehicle was spotted and she now has it back.
