Suspected thief plays game of Frogger across GA-400 to avoid arrest
ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Alpharetta police say a man accused of breaking into cars played a game of Frogger across the highway to avoid being arrested.
Spoiler alert: He was nabbed anyway.
What we know:
At around 5 p.m. on Saturday, police recalled seeing a man attempt to cross the southbound Georgia 400 lanes on foot.
When the man noticed the officers, they said he fled into the woods toward Avalon, the luxury shopping, dining and residential community.
An Avalon employee told the police the man had been breaking into cars in the area.
Alpharetta K-9 Officer Maverick was able to track the suspect down at the Georgia 400 northbound exit ramp toward I-120.
Officers found stolen items back in the woods and were able to return them to their respective owners.
The male was charged with three counts of entering auto, reckless conduct, obstruction, pedestrian on the highway, and loitering and prowling.
What we don't know:
Officials have not yet identified the suspect.
