Alabama man wanted for attempted kidnapping of ex-girlfriend
DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - Police are searching for an Alabama man who they say made two violent attempts to kidnap his ex-girlfriend and her daughter this past week.
AL.com reports (http://bit.ly/2rsbUGe ) that Decatur police say 21-year-old Trevonne Monte Jackson of Gadsden forced the victim into her car Monday morning and then tried to crash the car on purpose. She escaped without injuries and Jackson fled before police arrived. Officers say Jackson then forced his way into an apartment with a handgun on Thursday and forced the victim and her 6-year-old daughter into a car. Police say the victim grabbed Jackson's handgun and fired shots into the air to create a disruption and then grabbed her child and ran to safety.
Jackson is wanted for second-degree kidnapping. Investigators believe he is heading to Gadsden.
