What they're saying:
Makayla Green lives across the street and told FOX 5 she learned what was happening after her son woke her up.
"My five-year-old came running in my room, he was like, 'Mommy, the house next door is on fire,' so me and my husband we hopped out of bed," Green said.
She noted that when firefighters opened the door, "you could see literally fire all throughout the house."
Green also expressed concern about the safety of the neighborhood, stating, "It's scary, and a lot of these trees are big and they touch, so it could easily jump from one of those trees over here."
