Resolution Week: Giving back with the Gladiators

DULUTH, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Last season, fans of the Atlanta Gladiators covered the ice with more than 5,500 stuffed animals, all of which were donated to local charities and hospitals.  This Saturday, our hometown hockey pros are hoping spectators can raise the score and break a Teddy Bear Toss record!

The Atlanta Gladiators are making it easy to give back to the community and be more charitable this year by hosting their 16th annual Teddy Bear Toss during their game against the Jacksonville Icemen on Saturday, January 12th. 

The annual promotion is easily one of the highlights every season, as fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to toss out onto the ice after the team scores its first goal.  After Saturday’s Teddy Bear Toss, the team’s packed promotional schedule continues with events including MLK Kid’s Day Out Game on January 21st, Star Wars Night on January 26th, and the first-ever Zombie Night on February 15th.  

This year’s Teddy Bear Toss will take place Saturday, January 12th at 7:35 p.m. at Duluth’s Infinite Energy Arena.  Tickets for single games vary by section, and start at just $15 (advanced purchase) for End Zone seats.
