Cedartown museum celebrates Coca-Cola history

Once upon a time, it housed the Cedartown Coca-Cola Bottling Company.  Now, thanks to the dedication of a single family, the historic building stands as a refreshing celebration of local history.

The Cedartown Museum of Coca-Cola Memorabilia officially opened to the public in June of 2016, more than two years after the Morris family purchased the old Bottling Company building with the dream of restoring it and turning it into a museum.  Today, the property houses a large collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia, including ads and coupons dating back to the 1880s. The museum is open for tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, and admission costs five bucks for adults and three dollars for children.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken took a trip to Cedartown Thursday morning and ended up taking a walk back in time as he explored this monument to one of the most iconic brands in history.
