Severe storms continue to be possible Thursday
ATLANTA - November began with a severe storm risk in north Georgia and metro Atlanta.
Around 2 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for Coweta and Fayette counties until 2:30 pm.
The warning came after a Tornado Warning was previously issued for three northwestern Georgia counties. The warning for northwestern Catoosa County and north-central Walker County was in effect until 2:15 p.m.
No word on any damage, if a funnel cloud was spotted, or if a tornado actually touched down.
A cold front that was marching across Mississippi and Alabama continued into Georgia Wednesday afternoon. As it swept through from west to east during the afternoon hours, a line of storms brought heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.
