Rainy week ahead
ATLANTA - The dry air that moved in this weekend will be a thing of the past by Monday.
A stationary front our south will move north as a warm front ushering in deep Gulf of Mexico moisture that will lead to more numerous showers and t-showers beginning Monday afternoon.
By Tuesday a cold front will approach the Southeast from the west and stall out just to our west for the remainder of the week. This will create of a corridor of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico all the way up the East Coast to New England that will hold through Friday.
This means lots of rain especially Tuesday through Friday. Some areas could get 2-4" of rain along with lightning and gusty winds. Luckily there should be a break in the action just in time for next weekend!
