Now that we are headed into May lets take a look at the outlook for the month ahead.

Typically we start off the month of May with highs in the mid 70's and lows in the mid 50's.

By the end of the month, those numbers climb to the low 80's for highs and mid 60's for lows.

Rainfall for May averages around 3.67".

The outlook for this May from the Climate Prediction Center has North Georgia in an area of above normal temperatures.

In fact, much of the nation is expecting above-normal warmth, with the greatest probability of warmer than average temperatures across the Southwest as well as South Florida.

Rainfall is also expected to be above normal here in north Georgia with the greatest risk of above average rainfall being in the Northeast.
