Portia: Reclaiming Our Roots & Telling Our Stories
In a time where there is a ban on certain books and African American studies, it’s become extremely important for black and brown children to preserve their stories. Dr. Karida Brown and Artist Charly Palmer created “The New Brownies’ Book” to teach children universal love and brotherhood. Portia also meets a husband and wife duo who contributed to the book after an experience with their young daughter.
