WALESKA, Ga. - It is perhaps the biggest game in the short history of Reinhardt University football. The undefeated Eagles are ranked 7th in the NAIA national poll and will host the number 1 ranked Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders on Saturday.
"Lindsey Wilson's become somewhat of a rivalry game in a short time," says Reinhardt Head Coach Drew Cronic. "There's a lot riding on this game. It is homecoming week for us, we should have a great crowd. I don't have to do a lot of motivation this week, they're very excited about playing."
Cronic is in his first season as head coach of Reinhardt. He took over the program from his father, Dr. Danny Cronic. The elder Cronic helped start the program in 2012 and is still keeping an eye on the Eagles.
"I promise he's watching the film on hudl.com," adds Drew Cronic. "About once a week he will call and ask why someone is doing this or whatever. I do enjoy getting to drive the boat. When you got good people around you and you've got great coaches and great kids that are buying into what you're doing, that solves an awful lot of problems for you."
Kickoff between Reinhardt and Lindsey Wilson is Saturday at noon.
