HIGH 5 Sports Big Show recap - Week 3
ATLANTA - The HIGH 5 Sports Big Show was bursting at the seams with over 18 action-packed games from across the state. For those who don't have time to watch the full half hour show, we broke down the highlights below.

First up was the second ranked Roswell Hornets host the defending champions, Colquitt County. Malik Willis hooks the ball up with Corey Reed, Jr. who does the rest. The Louisville commit ran it in for a 29-yards touchdown. In the 2nd quarter, Willis scrambles, but eventually finds Sheldon Evans, who take it into the end zone. Roswell ends up winning 34-3.

St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions battle AAAA’s 8th ranked Marist War Eagles. It was air superiority as the War Eagles shutdown the Golden Lions 13-0. This is the first winless start for St. Pius since 1991.

The undefeated Salem Seminoles were at Avondale Stadium to face the Miller Grove Wolverines (2-1).

The Eastside Eagles, one of the original HIGH 5 Teams of the Week, were at Loganville to face the Red Devils (1-1).

Westlake took on the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes. This might be one of the only times this year Carterville Quarterback Trevor Lawrence won’t be in a highlight, because of teammate Trey Creamer. Creamer, who is committed to Tulane as a cornerback, ran it in for a touchdown. The Lions offense was not match for Cartersville. The Purple Hurricanes move to 3-0 with a 31-0 victory over the Lions.

The 680 The Fan Call of the Week had Karl Werl and Doug Konkel calling the plays for the Thomson-Pace Academy game while Photojournalist Eli Jordan shot all the action between the Knights and Bulldogs.

HIGH 5 Sports Team of the Week, the Temple Tigers turned it up during a live pep rally led by Good Day’s Paul Milliken who delivered the High 5 Hand Trophy. Coach Scotty Ward’s team was undefeated heading into Friday night and remain so with a 56-7 win over Armuchee.

HIGH 5’s Justin Felder traveled to North Gwinnett to put a wire on Bulldogs Coach Bob Sphire as his team battled the big boys with 4th ranked Norcross.

The Longhorns of Lanier took a long trip to Northside-Warner Robins. They were outplayed by the Eagles. Final score is 38-7.

This week’s Game of the Week was so hot that Hillgrove Head Coach Phillip Ironside was barefoot on the sideline for much of action against home team West Forsyth.
