Hawks to Open 2015-2016 Season on New Court

The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club unveiled their new playing surface and court this past Saturday at Philips Arena in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the team’s annual open practice. The new hardwood, featuring the iconic Pac-Man logo and Hawks new colors of Volt Green, Georgia Granite Gray and Torch Red, is a custom-made Connor Sports QuickLock portable basketball court.

The court is a visual representation of the next generation of Atlanta Hawks Basketball, and extends the team’s long-term partnership with CBA Sports, the Atlanta-based Connor Sports Court Builder.

The new QuickLock basketball court from Connor Sports combines the latest in Forest Stewardship Council-certified northern maple hardwood selection and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology to create optimum resilience and player safety.

“The Atlanta Hawks have been a tremendous partner to CBA Sports in Atlanta,” said Jamie Sartin, Owner of CBA Sports. “Through CBA Sports, our Connor Sports and Sport Court brands have helped the franchise reinvigorate the Atlanta fan base, and the unveiling of the new Connor Sports QuickLock basketball court was the culmination of these activities.”

Earlier this summer, CBA Sports joined forces with the Atlanta Hawks Foundation to retrofit five community courts to increase access for metro Atlanta’s youth to play, grow, and learn life and leadership skills through basketball. They have done so by putting down safe and state-of-the-art, Atlanta Hawks themed Sport Court®  Power Game game courts that allow the citizens of Atlanta to play on a surface with similar performance characteristics to those of the Connor Sports basketball court the Hawks will play on inside Philips Arena.
