Braves closer Arodys Vizcaíno undergoes surgery, will miss rest of season

One of the Atlanta Braves closers is expected to miss the rest of the 2019 season after undergoing surgery.

Right-handed pitcher Arodys Vizcaíno underwent right shoulder surgery Wednesday in New York to remove scar tissue from the join.

The 28-year-old was placed on the 10-day injured list on April 14, retroactive to April 11, with right shoulder inflammation.

Vizcaíno appeared in four games this season, allowing one run, earned, in four innings.
