Worker killed in explosion at plant in Rockmart

Rockmart, GA - Fire and rescue crews responded to an explosion at a plant in Rockmart Sunday morning.  The blast happened at the JCG Farms facility at 1750 Rome Highway. 

Authorities tell FOX 5 that a 25-year old man was killed in the blast.  He was an employee at the plant.  Police say 5 other people were rushed to the hospital. At least one of the survivors had serious injuries.

The explosion caused significant damage at the facility, officials said. Investigators spent Sunday at the scene trying to determine what caused the explosion.
