Woman's dog disappears from boarding facility
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A woman is devastated after employees at a Buford pet grooming and boarding business admitted to losing her dog.
Star Allen said she got the call from a worker at Pet Studio near the Mall of Georgia Sunday. She said she left her two-year-old French bulldog-terrier mix named Stella with employees there earlier in the week.
Pet Studio's owner Sean spoke with FOX 5 News on Tuesday.
He declined to show his face on camera or have his last name used. But he confirmed the incident and said he is saddened by the turn events.
Sean believes Stella jumped a fence and walked out of the facility while he was out walking another dog.
According to an incident report filed with Gwinnett County Police, the store didn't capture the incident on its surveillance cameras, which were not working at the time.
Allen hopes anyone who sees her dog will call 770-680-7795.
