Woman found dead in resident's backyard
ACWORTH, Ga. - Authorities said they have identified the body found in the backyard of an Acworth home as a missing 38-year-old woman.
Officers were called to Baker Grove Road around 9 a.m. Saturday. Investigators said they found a woman’s body, later identified as that of 38-year-old Melissa Fisher.
Police said Fisher had been reported missing Thursday. Investigators said there were no obvious signs of foul play, but said drug use may have been a factor. Police are waiting for a full autopsy report from the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office.
