Woman carjacked while pumping gas in Buckhead

ATLANTA - Carolyn Wallace prides herself in being aware of her surroundings. But she admits she made a mistake which aided a thief in making a smooth getaway in her SUV.

It was a busy Saturday afternoon in the heart of Buckhead when she stopped for gas.

As Wallace got out of her car, she left the car key inside. Seconds later, two men in a car pull alongside her vehicle. The driver opens the passenger door to Wallace's car and slides across the seat to the driver's seat.

Wallace says she never heard anything but saw her car move from the weight of the thief.

By that time, it was too late.

The thief locked the doors and calmly drove away. His accomplice followed.

Wallace says she will never ever do that again.
