Wet Weather Rolling in Monday Morning
Atlanta, Ga. - Grab your umbrella before you head out the door Monday morning! Showers will be increasing throughout the morning as a cold front sweeps in from the west.
Rain will begin in northwest Georgia around daybreak and should make it to Atlanta by late morning, and then through Athens by late in the afternoon.
Rain totals will average between and quarter and a half inch. Winds will also start to gust up to 25 mph after midnight ahead of the approaching front.
The good news is that the storm system is weakening and should not pose a severe weather threat.
Once the front moves through sunny and mild weather will return for Tuesday and Wednesday before the next round of showers on Thursday. Colder air will move in for next weekend.
