WATCH: Soldier surprises family at zoo

A trip to a Minnesota zoo proved to be quite memorable for one soldier's family.

Evan Tulk, 3, and his grandmother went to the zoo on Monday.

During a show, a zoo worker asked if Evan would help during a "close encounters" presentation to bring out a live animal.

However, it wasn't an animal… it was the child's father!

Sergeant Joseph Scott just returned from a year in Kuwait and Iraq. While he was gone, Evan had asked if they could go to the zoo when his dad got back.
