WATCH: Deployed father surprises his kids at school

GORDON COUNTY, Ga. - Two students in Gordon County got a very special treat on Friday.

Staff Sergeant Tray Stephens, who has been deployed overseas the last eight months, surprised his two kids at Swain Elementary School.

Stephens had a heartwarming reunion with eight-year-old Caleb and five-year-old Riley. The two children had not seen their father since July when he was deployed to Qatar.

Swain Principal Dr. Elizabeth Anderson said she and the community wanted to do something special for Stephens.

The Airman said this deployment was hard as he missed a number of big holidays, like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
