A vigil was held Tuesday night in remembrance of a woman who was gunned down outside an Alpharetta bank over the weekend.

Alpharetta Police said Tynesha Evans, 45, of Alpharetta, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo located on the corner of N. Main Street and Academy Street around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators said 58-year-old Othnel Inniss was held by an armed bystander at the scene until officers arrived. Police said they recovered a semi-automatic handgun at the scene. He was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Inniss and Evans were reported in an “on-again, off-again” relationship, according to investigations, but the woman’s family insists the two never even dated.

Inniss continued to be held at the Hall County Jail without bond as of Tuesday evening.
