Atlanta police release video that shows four people stealing a car from the LA Fitness in Midtown.

Investigators believe at least two women and Two men are working together to swipe gym patrons’ cars while they workout.

Atlanta Police said on Jan. 29, two women and a third man are dropped off at the LA Fitness on 5th Street by a fourth man in a Silverado truck. Surveillance video caught them going in and coming out with a stolen Nissan Sentra.

Detectives have connected the dots and now believe the Midtown heist is connected to two auto thefts at the Buckhead LA Fitness on Peachtree Street.

"We have determined that we do believe all of these incidents are related. All of these incidents have involved the same method of the theft where keys were stolen from the Victim's locker at LA Fitness," Atlanta Police officer Jarius Daugherty.

Detectives have made headway. They arrested Amanda Lee Rooney, who they said was inside the stolen Xterra from Buthis past Friday. She was taken to the DeKalb County Jail. Detectives said the new surveillance video has led them to another development.

"We do have a couple of suspects in mind that we are about to obtain warrants for, so we feel like we are getting to the bottom of it," Officer Daugherty remarked.

A Cobb County woman whose car was stolen from the LA Fitness in Marietta said one of her stolen checks was written out to Mayson Holsey and cashed. Holsey is one of the Buckhead victims. So, she believes her case is connected too.
