VIDEO: Men firebomb inside of Hispanic grocery store
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnett County firefighters believe the same culprits are responsible for setting three fires this month at a local Hispanic grocery store, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
“People are scared. Everybody's scared for the situation,” said Pascual Delgado, who works for grocery store La Jalisco Supercarniceria off Buford Drive.
Neither workers nor arson investigators have any idea why the business has been targeted. The first fire was discovered May 2, when workers found outside a mop doused in gasoline.
In the second fire, May 16, the rear entrance and shed were heavily damaged by flames and smoke.
The third blaze Monday caused the worst damage by far, with several fires started inside the store and plenty of products damaged. Workers had to shut down the business for several days to do repairs to the floors, shelves and ceilings.
