Update: Three children taken by caretaker have been found

ATLANTA - UPDATE: Police say three children who were kidnapped by their caretaker have been found and will be medically checked out by a local hospital.

Atlanta police are working to find three young children who were taken by their caretaker. 

Police said the caretaker, 35-year-old Kerry Henderson, disappeared with the children after defying a court order to turn the children over to the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

Henderson was reportedly last seen with 2-year-old Zykerrya Stansberry, her 5-month-old sibling Zariah, and a third child, 2-year-old Malachi Choate, at Oakland City Park in Southwest Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon.

"We have been diligently working this case since yesterday afternoon," Atlanta Police  Lt. Charles Hampton said. "We believe the kids are still in the custody of Ms. Henderson."
