Update: Man Who Died After Turner Field Fall Identified

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has released the name of a man who died after he fell from the upper deck of Turner Field Saturday night.

Officials identified him as Gregory Murrey, 60, of Alpharetta.

Atlanta Police said Murray fell from the 400s down to the terrace level around 9:00 Saturday night.

Paramedics transported him to Grady Hospital where he died a short time later.  The medical examiner is still working to determine his exact cause of death.

"Right now it doesn't appear to be any type of foul play that's involved at all," said Lt. Charles Hampton with the Atlanta Police Department.

The Atlanta Braves released the following statement: "We have received confirmation that the fan involved in an accident at this evening's game has passed away. The Atlanta Braves offer their deepest condolences to the family."

Fans at Saturday's game were shaken by the news.

"I think it's pretty scary to think that a fan could fall off the top deck," said Tim Cincotta.  "I think maybe they should add some more security or something just to keep fans from falling over."

Police are investigating the circumstances of the fall.  They ask anyone who may have seen something to call the Atlanta homicide unit or Crimestoppers.
