Two violent carjackings in Atlanta may be related

Police in Atlanta are searching for suspects in two carjacking which happened within a matter of hours, one behind a popular bar in East Atlanta.

The victim of Tuesday morning’s attack behind the Graveyard Tavern spoke to FOX 5’s Marissa Mitchell. Lauren Bishop said the attack happened so fast. She said the gunman wore all black with a ski mask as he jumped out a passenger side of a silver Nissan and ambushed her.

The crook, at gunpoint, robbed her of her laptop, purse, phone, and her green Ford Fusion.

According to an incident report from police, investigators believe the same silver Nissan sedan in Bishop's case could be connected to another carjacking. A woman reported just three hours earlier a man dressed in all black with a mask stole a silver Nissan from her on Oak Street in southwest Atlanta.

In that case, the victim told investigators he said, "don't move, drop everything and get out," before taking off in the car with her belongings.

Atlanta police are investigating both cases.
