Two People Shot near Grady High School

Police continue to investigate after a shooting near Grady High School Friday night.

According to the Atlanta Police Department,  two people were shot and injured near 8th Street NW and Monroe Drive in Midtown Atlanta.

One of the victims, a woman driving her car, was shot in the ankle.  Officers said a second bullet grazed her head. 

The second victim, police told FOX 5, was an 18-year-old male who was leaving Grady Stadium when he was shot in the back.  He reported four or five people were involved. 

Paramedics transported both shooting victims to Grady Memorial Hospital.  Their conditions are unknown. 

It is not clear if the shooting was related to the school's football game but Atlanta Public Schools tweeted:

 

 

 

 

Police have not announced any arrests in the case.
