DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Deputies are trying to figure out how a truck became submerged in Lake Lanier Tuesday.
According to the Dawson County Sheriff, Emergency Services received a 911 call of a vehicle in Lake Lanier at Thomson Creek Park Tuesday morning around 11.
Multiple crews arrived on the scene, and removed the 2009 Silver Toyota Tacoma from the lake.
Police say there are no known victims at this time and that they know the owner's name, but are not releasing it at this time.
A dive team and sonar scans have not found anything else in the area. Crews are planning to conduct sweeps of the area's shore line for the next week.
Officials are still investigating how the truck got into the lake.
