TROUP COUNTY, Ga. - The newest member of the Troup County Sheriff's Office is only two years old.
Monday morning, the sheriff welcomed Stella, a 2-year-old chocolate lab to the force.
They say that Stella and her handler, Deputy Adam Richardson, are now certified as an Explosive Detective K-9 team after completing a five-week training course.
Now the dynamic duo will work around the county and help other explosive detection teams around the state.
"Congratulations to Deputy Richardson and Stella," the sheriff's office said.
