Tropical Depression Harvey is crawling through Louisiana this morning on a path that will take it into the Ohio Valley by tomorrow.  Plenty of tropical moisture is getting tossed into north Georgia around Harvey's circulation.

For today, tropical rain, heavy at times, will come in waves.  While severe weather is not expected in the morning hours, bands of rain/storms this afternoon could bring a brief spin up of a weak tornado (tropical tornadoes are generally about EF-0 in intensity and don't spend much time on the ground).

Friday's showers and storms will be more scattered in nature.  But rain is possible at any hour of the day.

%INLINE%

Severe storms are possible again Friday afternoon, but mainly across far north Georgia.

%INLINE%

Additional rainfall between today and Friday night should average 1"-2".  Dry weather returns just in time for the Labor Day weekend with low humidity, cool mornings, and warm afternoons.
