Trivago commercial pitchman charged with DWI in Houston

HOUSTON (FOX 26) — Timothy Williams, best known as the Trivago commercial pitchman, is out of jail on bond after he was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor offense.

A police spokeswoman says officers found Williams, 52, passed out behind the steering wheel of a vehicle in a moving lane of traffic on Westheimer Road near Lazy Hollow Drive at around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Williams failed a sobriety test, was taken to a processing center and submitted to a blood test before he was charged. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 17.
