Toucan Goes "Wild" in FOX 5 Atlanta Studio

Lupe the Toucan on top of the FOX 5 Storm Center

We had a "wild" situation at the FOX 5 Atlanta studio Wednesday morning. "Lupe the Toucan" escaped from her Zoo Atlanta handler while shooting a segment for Good Day Atlanta. This was her first trip to a TV studio.

Lupe flew up into the lighting grid and stayed there for about an hour. Her handler, Christina Lavallee was able to coax Lupe down to the top of the FOX 5 Storm Center. After a few minutes, Lupe dumped down to the handler and went safely back in her crate. 

Lupe was not injured in the escape. Look for her Good Day Atlanta segment on New Year's Day.
