Thieves Smash Their Way into Atlanta Stores

Crystal clear surveillance video shows the crooks in action; First casing the store, then throwing a rock to smash the double pane window at Create Approach Atlanta on West Peachtree Street. Once the glass shattered, the thieves started grabbing computers.

The brazen bandits sicken General Manager Jeff Cela.

"This just kills me. I put a lot of hours in this every single week from day one, and will continue to, this will only make it stronger, but it's just sad," Cela said.

The printing and computer company started in Savannah and has been in business for 15 years. This Midtown location just opened on July 30th. Already, 3 smash and grabs in 90 days, at a store that allows anyone to use their computers at no charge.

"They are for the public’s use. They are free to use. They are for individuals who can't afford a computer or the software or just need a quick fix," Cela exclaims.

Detectives are also trying to find out if the same crew hit a high end boutique for the stars in Buckhead, just before 4 a.m. Monday.

Someone rammed a Black Dodge Charger into Exclusive Game International, on Peachtree at Piedmont Avenue, before stealing property. The owner of the custom clothing store told FOX 5 News that Sean "Puffy" Combs, Floyd Mayweather, and LeBron James are some of his most noted customers.

The methods of entry are different, but both business owners are left with thousands of dollars in lost merchandise and security bills.

"I do not like the excuse. They don't have this, they don't have that. I'm sorry, there's plenty of jobs out there, there's plenty of companies coming in here, whether you have an education or not. It is just sad," Cela laments.

The Midtown company is offering an undisclosed reward for anyone who has information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
