Gwinnett County detectives have made an arrest in the murder of a young couple found dead last month in Norcross.

Quintarious Walker, 17, is under arrest for the murder of 18-year-old Jaquille Thomas and his girlfriend, 19-year-old Angelique Bowman. Investigators said the two teens were shot and killed in the 1600 block of Wandering Way, which is in the Arbors of Jackson Cree subdivision.

Cpl. Deon Washington said Bowman was found dead inside an SUV and Thomas was discovered 90 minutes earlier, about 200 yards away, in a back yard between two homes on Wandering Way. Investigators said the victims didn't live in the neighborhood.

Last week, Gwinnett County police released surveillance video of Thomas and Walker just before the shooting took place.

"Thomas was walking just a few steps behind the gunman. He had to have seen the gun, but he didn't appear to be uncomfortable or under duress. But a few minutes later, you see the gunman walking in the opposite direction from where Mr. Thomas' body was found the following day, said Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Deon Washington.

Walker has been charged with one count of malice murder, two counts felony murder and two counts aggravated assault. He's being held at the Gwinnett County detention center.

Police said they are still trying to determine a motive and there are no other suspects in the case.
