Suspicious package leads to airport evacuation; all-clear given
ATLANTA - A suspicious package led to a brief evacuation at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Wednesday morning. The Atlanta police bomb squad investigated, and the airport terminal was re-opened a short time later.
The package was found in the South Terminal. On its Twitter account, the airport said the building was evacuated "out of an abundance of caution"
Flights continued to depart as usual during the evacuation. No other details were immediately available about what police learned about the package that led to the scare.
