Suspects who dragged Conyers cop with truck sought; lookout for truck
CONYERS, Ga. - Authorities are searching for three suspects who dragged a Conyers police officer with a truck during an attempted arrest.
On Tuesday, police say officers confronted a suspect attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription at Beasley's Drugs store on Center Street. The suspect fled, jumping into the passenger side of a white, 2015 or 2016 F-150 XLT pick-up truck.
The pursuing officer then grabbed the suspect and was drug as the driver sped away from the scene, police said.
The officer eventually released the suspect, according to police.
The extent of the officer’s injuries is unknown at this time.
The suspects are described as three black males. Police say one of the suspect had a small deadlock hairstyle, which was pulled back into a ponytail, and a tattoo on his right forearm.
The suspects' vehicle was last seen headed west toward DeKalb County.
