Suspects sought in West Athens home invasion, robbery
ATHENS, Ga. - Three armed masked men pushed their way into a West Athens residence after knocking on the door, police said.
It happened in the 600 block of Camelot Drive around 4 p.m. on December 16.
Police say the men pushed the victims into a back bedroom and tied their hands and feet with computer cables. They then reportedly stole several items from the home while threatening the residents with guns.
Evidence obtained from the scene indicates the suspects knew the residents, but, since they were wearing masks, the victims were unable to give police a description.
Police say the suspects fled the scene in a black 2007 Honda Accord or Honda Civic with tinted windows.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Athens-Clarke County Police Department at 706-613-3330.
