Suspects sought in Norcross motel shooting

NORCROSS, Ga. - Police are looking for two suspects accused of shooting a woman at a motel in Gwinnett County.

Police say a 33-year-old woman was shot inside a room at the Motel 6 on Oakbrook Parkway in Norcross on Monday. Upon arrival, the victim reportedly told police she was sleeping in bed when two men knocked on the door. The woman told police another person inside the room opened the door and ran out of the room as one of the suspect entered. Police say one of the suspects shot into the room, striking the woman in the abdomen. Both suspects fled the scene.

The woman was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. Police say the woman’s injuries are non-life-threatening and she is expected to be released from the hospital soon. 

The first suspect is described as a black male, between 25-35 years old with short hair and a trimmed beard. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie, white sweat pants and white shoes.

The second suspect is described as a black male, who was wearing a white surgical mask, a grey sweatshirt, grey cargo pants and blue shoes.
