Suspect sought in Atlanta bank robbery

Atlanta Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a SunTrust Bank on Peachtree Road.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect, who they say demanded money from a teller and passed the employee a written note. The incident occurred around 3:14 p.m. on September 8.

During the robbery, police say the suspect lifted his shirt, exposing a black pistol tucked in his waistband. The suspect then fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen walking west on Pharr Road, police said.

The suspect is described as middle-aged white male, six-foot tall with an average build and a thin, colored mustache a pock-marked face. He was last seen wearing a plain black baseball cap, silver or gray sunglasses with dark lenses, a blue long-sleeved button-up shirt with a button-down collars, light blue pants and black-and-white-colored athletic shoes. The suspect’s left hand was wrapped in a bandage covering his wrist and a portion of his hand.
