Suspect identified after fatal shooting at Alpharetta bank

A woman was shot and killed in the parking lot of an Alpharetta bank Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Alpharetta police told FOX 5 that the shooting happened at a Wells Fargo on North Main Street around 12:30 p.m.

Police identified the victim as Tynesha Evans, 45, of Alpharetta.

The suspect, 58-year-old Othnel Inniss, was arrested at the scene. He was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Officials closed the northbound lanes on Main Street at Academy Street during the investigation. Alpharetta Public Safety confirmed on Twitter Sunday afternoon that all lanes were reopened.

Police said Inniss and Evans were in an off and on relationship.

A semi-automatic handgun was found by police on the scene.
