Suspect arrested after man dies in hit-and-run

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - A suspect has been arrested following the death of a man in a hit-and-run incident, according to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.

Murray Blackmon, 65, was arrested Friday night after a man was run over by a car in the Home Depot parking lot on Mt. Zion Road in Morrow that morning, according to authorities.

Investigators gathered video of the scene and identified the suspect and his vehicle later in the afternoon after tips from the public and officers near the scene.

The sheriff's office said Blackmon has an extensive criminal history and a method of doing Craig List scams while driving off with people's money.
