Surveillance video released in Kroger assault, car-jacking attempt
DALTON, GA - The Dalton Police Department released video of a suspect wanted in connection to an assault and possible car-jacking attempt.
Police say the incident took place around 8:20 p.m. on Monday at the West Walnut Avenue Kroger.
The female victim told police the suspect opened the passenger side door and got into her car.
According to reports, he groped the victim, but fled when a child in the back seat screamed. After the suspect fled, the victim ran back into the store with her child.
In the video released by police, the suspect can be seen walking from the left side of the screen and then stop to turn to walk down the aisle towards the victim’s car.
