Sugarloaf Mills evacuated due to suspicious package

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A suspicious package forced the closure of a portion of the Sugarloaf Mills for a couple hours Friday afternoon.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said the suspicious package was found near the Sun & Ski. The Hazardous Disposal Unit assessed the situation. They reopened the area a little after an hour later.

Patrons and employees were evacuated as a precaution during that time.
