Students Collect Shoes for Needy Worldwide

Students at a Sandy Springs elementary school are doing what they can to help needy children around the world.

Olivia Berry is a kindergarten student at Spalding Drive Elementary. She has a dream of giving shoes she'd outgrown to someone less fortunate. That idea led to a service project called "Shoes for Paws". Students spent weeks collecting hundreds of pairs of shoes that people had outgrown.

In all, the students have collected 721 pairs of shoes. Those shoes will be delivered to a local charity. From there, the shoes will be shipped to a third-world country.
