Student detained after gun found at Atlanta high school

ATLANTA - Atlanta school officials found a gun after investigating a fight Friday.

Atlanta Police said a student got into a fight with a teacher at Benjamin E. Mays High School. Police said they found the weapon when they checked the student’s bag.

The student was immediately detained and removed from campus.

The student’s name has not been released.

The condition of the teacher was not immediately known.
