Stockbridge residents gathered to protest a proposed new city.

They gathered outside the State Capitol Tuesday morning to speak out against a bill that would de-annex thousands of people from Stockbridge to create a new city called Eagle's Landing.

Many residents said the bill would divide their community and have devastating financial effects on the city.

The state legislature has already approved the bill to de-annex the city but this week they're voting on whether to establish a new charter for the city of Eagle's Landing.
