Staggering statistics on car crimes in Atlanta

ATLANTA - Thieves are having a field day when it comes to automobile crimes in the city of Atlanta.

Police said in a recent seven-day period, there were more than 200 thefts in every part of the city.

Buckhead is one of the areas where car break-ins and car thefts are a chronic problem.

Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields outlines on Tuesday how her department is handling the problem.
